3 Men Arraigned For Allegedly Stealing 400 Blocks In Osogbo

Osun State police command has dragged three persons before a Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, the state capital for allegedly stealing about 400 blocks belonging to one Rasaki Sulaiman.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the accused conspired and committed the offence when they allegedly destroying their neighbour’s building valued at N1.5million.
The accused persons are, Waheed Adetunbi ,(40), Oladeji Olanrewaju (42) and Taiwo Azeez (38).
During their arraignment on Friday, Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Rasaki Lamidi told the court that the accused persons in the year 2017 at Akede Iyaloja Area,Osogbo (Time and month were not disclosed) perpetrated the act.
Lamidi said the accused persons unlawfully damaged an erected uncompleted building of Sulaiman, valued at 1.5million naira.
He argued that the offences committed by the accused contravened Sections 516,383,451, and 81 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
But the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
Defense Counsel, Barrister Sunday Atofarati applied for the bail of his clients in the most liberal terms.
Atofarati who assured the court that the accused would not jump bail if granted said reliable sureties would stand for them.
In her ruling, Magistrate Habibat Bashiru granted the three accused persons bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case till December 1, 2017 for definite hearing.
