Politician Denies Adultery Allegation

A Saki based politician in Oyo state, Hon Adegolojo Azeez Idowu has denied attempting having an illicit sexual dealing with a woman in the community stressing that the allegation was a blackmail.
Speaking with newsmen during the week, Adegolojo explained that the allegation that he wanted to rape one Suliat was cooked to tarnish his reputation.
He said that he was on a peace mission to resolve the conflict between Suliat and her husband who have been quarreling for over a year.
The politician said that he wondered why he was attacked by the husband of the woman and his friends adding that Police have waded into the matter and resolved the conflict.
The Divisional Police Officer in the area Usman Hassan said that his division was peaceful adding that the conflict has been resolved.
