Adewole Mourns Bisi Akande’s Wife
The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole has condoled with the former Governor of Osun State and former Interim National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Chief Adebisi Akande on the demise of his wife, Chief Mrs. Omowumi Akande who passed on Tuesday.
In a condolence message he personally signed, the minister said he was depressed by the shocking news of a matriarch whose sojourn in the Akande dynasty was full of emulative and sterling qualities.
Prof Adewole said “the 73 years of Late Mrs Omowumi Akande was full of adding value to humanity and supporting the cause of her husband, Chief Adebisi Akande when the latter was Governor of Osun State.
He however commiserated with Chief Akande, Governor Aregbesola, Osun government and the people of the state on the demise of Mrs Akande praying God to grant the soul of the dead repose.
The message reads “I am highly depressed by the shocking news of the matriarch of the Akande dynasty who was an unassuming, gentle and peace loving mother with emulative and sterling qualities.
“She was exceptionally selfless owing to her sheer brilliance and mastery of women leadership cum supportive roles as exemplified while she held sway as the wife of the governor between 1999 to 2003, she indeed played her role dutifully to the admiration of all”
“As mortals, we are bereaved at the moment of our loving Mother but we are also consciously mindful and appreciative of the chains of positive impacts and enduring values she added to human existence in her 73years sojourn on the planet earth.”
“Let me express my deepest sympathy to our revered Leader, Chief Bisi Akande, his immediate and extended relations, the Governor, the people and government of the State of Osun and chieftains of our great party on her demise.”
“I pray that Allah will grant the family the fortitude and courage to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
