Use The Holy Month Of Ramadan To Pray For President Buhari-Lam Adesina

The wife of the former Governor of Oyo State, late Alhaji Lamidi Ona-Olapo Adesina Alhaja Sarat Lam Adesina on Sunday called on Muslims to take advantage of the Ramadan period to intensify prayers for God’s intervention on President Muhammad Buhari’s health.
Alhaja Adesina made the call at the 22nd Ramadan Tafsir programme organized by Ola-Olu Muslim Society of Nigeria, Iwo, Osun State in honour of late Prince Nafiu Oladuntan Adisa Abanikanda.
Alhaja Adesina who was the Chairperson of the occasion said Nigerians should continue to pray for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari.
She called on Nigerian to pray for the economic recovery of the country, adding that prayers can hasten the recovery process of the president and Nigeria economy.
Alhaja Adesina who noted that the president’s health challenge was tough and required more prayers from all Nigerians to move the hand of God to heal him said it was incumbent upon each and everyone of them to pray fervently for quick recovery of the president.
“This is the moment when all Nigerians irrespective of religious, politics or ethnic affiliations should commit their leaders in fervent prayers for God’s intervention in our nation.
“I’m calling on the Muslim faithful and the entire people of the country to pray fervently for quick recovery of our president because President Muhammad Buhari must not die.
“I could remember vividly what the death of late Chief MKO Abiola caused then. We should intensify prayers for God’s intervention in the nation’s affairs.
Condemning the rising rate of corruption among the people of the country, Alhaja Adesina said all hands must be on deck to rid the country of corruption.
She noted that the current hardship has affected a large section of Nigerians, hence contributing largely to the increase in the rate of corruption as people become desperate to survive.
Urging the people of the country on the need to move closer to God, the former Oyo State First Lady said the end time has come going by some horrible incidents that have been happening in the society.
Speaking on the importance of the lecture, the founder, The Wings School, Professor Lai Olurode said the programme is organized annually to honour the highly reputable indigines of Iwo who have contributed immensely to the development of the town during their life time.
Olurode who is Professor of Sociology, university of Lagos said that the Islamic society has been organizing the programme for the past 20 years.
He stressed that the annual Ramadan Tafsir is organized along side free medical check up for the people of Iwo and its environs as part of his contributions to the well being of the people of the town.
CityMirrorNews reports that the free healthcare designed mainly for the less privileges is offered to about 600 people to improve their health conditions.
