Aregbesola’s Commissioner, Special Adviser Nominees Charged to Focus on Quality Service Delivery
The Speaker, Osun state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Najeem Salaam, has urged Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s cabinet nominees to set personal agenda in qualitative service delivery as well as shun nepotism and favoritism in the discharge of their duties, if confirmed.
This is contained in a statement by the Chairman House Committee on Information and Strategy, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
According to the statement today, Salaam gave the charge at the plenary during the screening of nominees for the position of Commissioners and Special Advisers.
The speaker said the nominees should know that they were appointed to oversee the affairs of the state and to relate with the people irrespective of their political leanings or religious beliefs.
He said the nominees should also be watchful, opened and give their best in serving the people of the state.
“It must be stressed that the task ahead of you is a thankless job and could be daunting sometimes but with total commitment individuals could write their names in the sand of times”
It will be recalled that Governor Aregbesola, in a letter dated April 11, forwarded 39 names of nominees for the position of Commissioner and Special Advisers to the State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
