Oyinlola Mourns Late Osun Muslim Leader, Olayiwola
Former governor of Osun state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has described the death of the President of Osun State Muslim Community, Sheik Salaudeen Olayiwola as a personal loss and a great blow to the state.
Prince Oyinlola in a statement he released on Sunday said the deceased was more than a leader for Muslims in the state but a father figure for the entire state.
He stated that the late Sheikh Olayiwola was a very strong moral voice in the state who was very courageous in speaking the truth at all times.
“In my years in Government, I saw the late Sheikh as a man who displayed very rare attributes of truthfulness, courage and candour in all his private and public engagements. He was a true Muslim who never sold his conscience. He was never afraid to say the truth no matter how unpleasant it might be.
“Sheikh Olayiwola was a father to me and his death is a personal loss. My prayer is that Almighty Allah will grant him Aljanah and will comfort his family, friends, Osun state and the Muslim Ummah,” Prince Oyinlola said.
