June 12: Femi Falana To Deliver Lecture In Ondo As Akeredolu Declares Monday Public Holiday

Ondo State Governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has directed that Monday, June 12, 2017, be declared a work free day in honour of the winner of the June 12, 1993 Presidential election, late Chief MKO Abiola.
Just as the human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) will deliver a lecture titled, “June 12: A Celebration of Courage and Resilience.” on the occasion.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Segun Ajiboye,
Governor Akeredolu said the late Abiola’s supreme sacrifice culminated in the hurried departure of the military from the political scene in 1999.
The event, according to the statement will hold at the International Events Centre (The Dome) in Akure.
The statement added that eminent Nigerians, including notable
activists are lined up to grace the event, while Hon. Wale Oshun will be the chairman of the occasion.
Akeredolu however charged politicians across the country to always demonstrate their unquenchable love for the country.
