Bafana Shock Eagles, Pip Nigeria 2-0
By Olabode Abolaji
The Super Eagles of Nigeria were shocked on Saturday evening as they lost 2-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo to visiting Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the 2019 AFCON Qualifier.
Two second half goals from the visiting team gave South Africa their first ever competitive win over Nigeria.
The eagles suffered a porous defence as the team was disorganized after it conceded the first goal.
The South Africans were superb in the game displaying good quality and resilience throughout the match.
Gernort Rohr’s first loss as the coach of the Super Eagles saw the players miss some glorious chances in the second half.
