O’YES Programme Help To Reduce Mass Unemployment In Osun – Commissioner
The Osun state Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Engagement, Hon. Mofolake Adegboyega has posited that but for Youth Employment Scheme of the State Government tagged, OYES, there would have been mass unemployment in the state.
She said this while unveiling the 2018 Calendar of the scheme during its end of year party and award in Osogbo, the State capital.
Adegboyega appreciated the good works of the OYES, tagging it one of the best programmes initiated by the State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.
She pointed out that if the scheme had not come in place, there would have been rancour and mass unemployment in the state.
The State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wasiu Omotunde Young who was also a member of the OYES management committee, congratulated and appreciated the mentor of the scheme for his unending support to the state Government.
The Chairman, OYES Mentor Forum, Mr Charles Ajani, commended the initiator of the scheme, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.
He also thanked the OYES management committee for their support since the inception of the scheme.
He added that being retired officers in Nigeria military services, if the scheme had not accommodate them, they would have turned into another thing in the society.
The commandante of the scheme, Rtd Col. EniIbukun Oyewole appreciated the Mentors and all the prefects of all local Government Areas for the unflinching support given to him.
He charged all mentors to be more active in their various domains in the state.
The highlights of the programme was the award of excellence presented to the scheme commandant by the Mentor Forum.
