Nigeria Reclaim 41st Position In World Football Ranking
The Super Eagles of Nigeria were non movers as they retained their 41st position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
The rankings which was released on Thursday morning, was published on FIFA’s official website.
In Africa, the Super Eagles also did not make any movement as they remained seventh.
Super Eagles 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying opponents and reigning African champions, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon moved up one spot from 33rd to 32nd.
On the continent, the five-time AFCON winners are now third behind Egypt and Senegal.
The Super Eagles Eagles two other World Cup qualifying group opponents, Algeria and Zambia are currently 50th and 90th respectively.
Algeria retained their position, Zambia moved up one spot.
Their 2019 AFCON qualifying foes; South Africa, Seychelles and Libya also didn’t make any significant change in the latest ranking.
South Africa and Libya maintained their 62nd and 92nd positions respectively, while Seychelles dropped to 187.
There was no changes in the top 10 positions in the world rankings as Argentina (1st) Brazil (2nd) Germany(3rd) Chile (4th) Belgium(5th) France(6th) Colombia(7th) Portugal(8th) Uruguay(9th) and Spain(10th) all remained unchanged.
