Akeredolu Tasks Igbo community on Unity

The Governor-elect of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has called on Igbo people living in the state to live in peace, harmony and unity with one another and their host communities.
Akeredolu, in a town hall meeting with the Igbos at his country home in Owo, urged the Igbo communities in the state to be their brother’s keeper and be in peace with everyone, irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation.
The governor – elect, who was represented by one of the Igbo leaders in the state, Engr. Emeka Opara , said lgbo people are known for diligence, hard work and dedicated to duty and business which has helped them in all their endeavors.
However, the pioneer leader of lgbo Community in the state, Chief Titus Umenweke, thanked the Governor elect and his wife, Mrs Betty Akeredolu, for the recognition accorded them and in preaching peace to all and sundry in the state at large.
Umenweke described Akeredolu as a man of peace and selfless leader.
The entire lgbo community unanimously agreed and resolved to come together as one indivisible entity under the auspices of Igbo General Assembly which will be coordinated by a central team comprising Engr.
