In Osun: 3 Cultists Remanded In Prison Over Alleged Murder

An Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the State capital, on Friday ordered the remand of three cult members over an alleged murder of one Bintu Anifowose.
The accused persons according to the charge were members of Black Axe confraternity and they are: Ibrahim Diekola, (19), Amos Aderibigbe, (21) and Yomi Olaosebikan (19).
They were arraigned before the court on a four-count-charge bordering on conspiracy,murder among others.
It was gathered that the deceased, Anifowose, was allegedly shot by the suspects while she was on an expedition to a building construction for survival as a Labourer.
The Prosecutor, Sergeant Sunday Ajayi told the court that the accused persons on August 5, 2017 at about 6:59am at Old Garage Area, Osogbo, the Osun State capital shot Bintu Anifowose with gun and eventually resulted to her death.
He added that the offences committed contravened Sections 324, 516, 316, 64(a)(b) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State 2003.
The plea of the accused persons were not taken due to the criminal nature of the offense committed.
Ruling on the matter, Magistrate Habibat Bashir ordered that the accused be remanded in custody at Ilesha prison.
Bashir, thereafter, adjourned the case till October 27, 2017 for mention.
