Women Prayer Warriors Express Optimism that Oyo Will Bounce Back
The first supplication of women ministers under the aegis of Women Intercessory Network (WIN), Oyo State Chapter, took place in Ibadan, on Saturday with an assurance that the nation’s fortune would be restored this year.
The programme initiated by Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the Oyo State Governor, was coordinated by women ministers who included Rev. Omowumi Popoola, Evangelist Lydia Adekunle, Pastor Funmi Aransiola, and Mrs Akinfenwa among others.
Rev. Popoola of World Communication Ministry WOCOM disclosed that God revealed to her that Oyo state would this year experience God’s favour.
In her message, Evangelist Akintola noted that there were some demonic powers against some of our leaders, adding that the prayers of the faithful would destroy those powers.
Mrs. Aransiola in her admonition, called on all Nigerians to be more aggressive in their prayers, pointing out that Nigerians also have their own sacrifices to make by refraining from sin and all ungodly acts.
Mrs. Ajimobi, the Chief Host thanked the entire women of the state for their large turnout which was a manifestation of their faith in God.
She called on all citizens of the state to continue supporting the current administration, adding that God revealed to her that the state would witness positive transformation this year.
“God has a good package for us in this state but He also expects us to imbibe the culture of change from our bad ways of life.”
“Let us resolve to change from falsehood, criminal and ungodly acts. It is through our good conduct that God will bestow mercy on all the people of the state.”Ajimobi counseled.
She charged the women to shun immoral dressing, stressing that their children follow all acts of their parents.
She condemned ungodly acts of rape and assault which were very rampant in the state, adding, “Our men should refrain from wickedness against women.”
