Man Kills Step-Mother For Being Responsible For His Impotence In Osun
A 34 year old man, Oyelami Okeyomi wason Friday arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court, Osogbo for allegedly killing his 70 year old stepmother.
Oyelami was alleged to have clubbed his stepmother to death at Adigbo’s Compound, Ejigbo in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State on September 23rd this year
The accused who allegedly was returning from an herbalist who told him that his stepmother was responsible for his impotence hired an Okada which conveyed him to the residence of the woman where he used iron rod to hit her on the head which resulted to her death.
The prosecutor alleged that the offence was contrary to Section 316 an punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume 11 Laws of Osun State 2002.
When the charge sheet was read in the court, no plea was taken from the accused person.
The Trial Magistrate, Mr Ashiru Ayeni ordered that the accused person should be remanded in custody at Ilesa Prison, while the case should be transferred to Ejigbo magisterial distrit of the State.
Mr Ayeni however adjourned the case till November 7, 2017 f0r mention.
