We Are Synergizing With Army To Curb Terrorists Acts In Borno –NSCDC Boss

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Alhaji Abdullahi Gana Mohammadu has said that the corps is synergizing with the Nigeria Army to curb activities of terrorists in Borno State.

While addressing the men of the Ondo State Command of NSCDC, Alhaji Abdullahi Gana Mohammadu who was represented by his Second-in-Command, Commandant Madu Bilaye Keleshi at the official commissioning of building projects gave kudos to the military for providing the much needed training required to tackle most security challenges “confronting us as a Nation”.

His words, “the Army trained us and has donated 5,000 rifles for effective execution of our mandate to protect critical National Assets at all tiers of government”.

The CG also expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, for his tremendous support and assistance to the Corps in the State for providing the enabling environment to enhance operational efficiency.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Ondo State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Adeyinka Fasiu Ayinla, disclosed that the Corps is in good working relationship with other sister agancies especially in the area of maintenance of law and order for the enhancement of security in the State.

According to him, the building projects were embarked upon to provide more office accomoodation and enhance better performance of officers and men on the job.

The projects, he said, were funded 100percent from the from the goodwill of well meaning private and corporate individuals in the State as a project illustration of the citizens partnership with the government for better service.

He gave those buildings to include Office of the State Commandant code named Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu buildings, five rooms Administrative Office tagged Lt. Gen Abdullahi Dambazau block, the Command’s hall and the sick day/clinic – The Fasiu Adeyinka block.

Others were the Legal office Extension, the Colonial Office Renovation for Finance Office and the Station Office/CRO/Sports Unit block.

In their goodwill messages, the Commandant, 32 Artilery Akure, Brig. General Alaguba James and the Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Hilda Harrison and other security chiefs in the State, promised to work assiduously with the NSCDC in Ondo State.

Royal fathers present were the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo, the Odundun II, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Olateru Olagbegi and a host of others.
