My Husband Wants to Kill Me With Sex, Wife Tells Court

A middle aged woman Funke Ojo, has filed a petition before a Customary Court, sitting at Oke-Eda, in Akure, Ondo state, seeking dissolution of her 14 years old marriage with her husband Busuyi over sexual intercourse.

According to Funke, her husband wanted to kill her with too much sex demand, saying that she could not bare the sexual desire.

Funke told the court that her husband used to beat her anytime she refused him sex, and after beaten her, her husband would still have sex with her forcefully.

She said “I loaned him N100,000 for our house rent when the house rent due, he refused to pay me back my money without saying any reasonable thing.

“When the year rent expired, there was no money to pay again, it was my mother that paid our house rent and feeding us since then, what my my husband know is to have sex with me, he didn’t care about his responsibility at all.

“My Lord, there was a day my husband beat me, it was my mother that rescued me and took me to hospital.”

According to her, her first born died due to inadequate care and her husband doesn’t care for the family.

She told the court that her husband was fetish, ” I saw calabash in my husband’s room and threatening to kill me,” she explained.

Funke however prayed the court to grant her claims, saying that the love she had for her husband has faded.

Responding, her husband, Busuyi Ojo, denied all the allegations his wife leveled against him.

He informed the court that his wife had turn against him and she refused to give him respect.

Busuyi told the court that his wife dressed like prostitute, saying that she wore any kind of cloth, forgotten that she is a married woman.

In his ruling, the president of the court, Mr Ayodele Omotola said that the court has had from both parties, and that the relationship has broken, saying that both parties should allow peace to reign in the society.

He however ordered the husband to pay N5,000 to the court for the food allowances for their children and adjourned the case till May 10, 2017 for judgement.
