Doyin Okupe Joins Accord Party, Becomes South West Leader

Less than six months after dumping the Peoples Democratic Party, a former Spokesman to former President Goodluck Jonathan is now the South west leader of Accord Party.
CityMirrorNews gathered that this was cemented during the Southwest Stakeholders Summit of the Accord Party held at the Olubadan Stadium which had in attendance all delegates of the party in Nigeria’s Southwest region.
Speaking at the summit, Dr Doyin Okupe who is now the south west leader of Accord Party said his decision to join Accord Party was to serve as a Political mentor to youths in the country.
He explained that Accord was the only Political Party that has interest of the youths at heart by creating a level playing ground for youth development.
According to Dr Okupe, the essence of the stakeholders meeting was to inform Nigerians that Accord is still intact in Oyo state despite the exit of a former Governor of Oyo state Senator Rasheed Ladoja.
He said the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress are sinking political parties that cannot offer any meaningful development to the nation.
Other leaders of Accord Party who spoke at the summit restated that the party has not merged neither with the APC or PDP pledging their readiness to give the two leading parties a hard fight in Ekiti and Osun come 2018.
After thorough deliberations, the Party presented a former member of House of representatives,Hon Adebukola Ajaja as the leader of Accord Party in Oyo state.
Oyo state Leader of the Accord Party, Hon Adebukola Ajaja called for the support of all members for the advancement of the party in the state.
The 2017 South West sttakeholders Summit of Accord party was attended by delegates from Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun and Lagos states.
