Osun Babes Defeats Pelican, as Osun United Draw First Bank
Osun United football club of Osun State on Wednesday evening held home team Frist Bank FC of Lagos to a one all draw in week 5 of the Nigerian National League.
First Bank got the first goal through Lokosa Sewanu in 8th minute before Tosin Omoyele equalized in the 21st minute.
The draw portends a good situation for Osun United who have now won 2 and lost 2 in Nigeria’s second tier elite football division.
Coach of the side, Duke Udi would be happy after he promised of his side’s full preparation for the encounter.
In the Nigeria Women’s Premier League game played at the Osogbo Township Stadium in the presence of the state deputy governor, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, Osun Babes defeated visitors Pelican Stars of Calabar 2-0.
The result excited the deputy governor and other visitors at the stadium who cheered the Omoluabi Queens.
