Breaking: Nollywood Actress Dies During Childbirth

Another sad event has befallen Nollywood, Nigeria’s premier movie industry, as fast rising actress, Modupe Oyekunle was confirmed dead in the early hours of Tuesday, April 4, 2017 during child birth.

According to reports, Oyekunle died in the delivery room while trying to give birth to her third child.

Popularly known as Oyinbo because of her complexion, Late Modupe gave birth to her baby, a girl it was said to be, before giving up the ghost.

She played a prominent role of Sandra in Segun Ogungbe’s blockbuster movie, Ibi Giga among other interesting movies.

The actress was also a member of Igi Aloye caucus in Abeokuta which produced Odunlade Adekola.

She is survived by husband, three children and parents.

It would be recalled that in March, a Nollywood actor who survived kidney transplant, Chike Bryan Nnamani died of heart attack in the hospital after receiving a call.
