Osun Deputy Governor to Watch Osun Babes Match Tomorrow
The Deputy Governor of Osun State, Otunba Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori will be at the Osogbo City Stadium tomorrow evening as a Special Guest of Honour when the Omoluabi Queens, Osun Babes FC take on their counterpart, Pelican Stars of Calabar in the week two encounter of the Nigeria Women Premier League.
A statement issued by the Osun Babes FC secretary Mrs Aderonke Ogunbanwo, stated that the Deputy Governor has promised to present when the team plays its first home game of the season against Pelican Stars.
The statement reads: “We are happy that the deputy governor will be around to cheer our girls to victory on Wednesday. It should definitely be more of a morale booster for the girls.
“She has always supported the team through prayers and moral supports and we are more than grateful to her for all these gestures. We hope to really make her proud with a comprehensive victory on Wednesday.”
The Deputy Governor will be present at the Osogbo City Stadium to give maximum support to the state team for the second time in two weeks, after she accompanied the state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to cheer Osun United to victory against Bendel Insurance.
Tomorrow Wednesday’s match is crucial for Osun Babes after losing their first game in Lafia to Nasarawa Amazons by two goals to nothing.
