Former Oyo SSG Quits Accord, Decamps To APC

As political permutations for the 2019 general elections is gradually gaining momentum, a former Secretary to the Oyo state government, Chief Ayodele Adigun has dumped Accord Party for the All Progressives Congress APC in the state.

Chief Adigun who is a close political associate of former Governor Rasheed Ladoja who recently returned to the PDP left Accord Party to join the Progressives at their ward meeting held at Aremo, Ibadan.

He said his decision to join the APC was to be involved in mainstream politics of the state and to ensure the victory of the party in the state local government Polls as well as the 2019 general elections.

According to him, it is necessary to join the progressives fold for the advancement of Oyo State.

Chief Adigun who has spent 14 years both in the PDP and Accord Party said it was the decision of his teeming followers to join the ruling party.

The caretaker chairman, Ibadan East LCDA, Prince Gbade Lana said with the cross carpeting of Chief Ayodele Adigun, APC will be a party to beat in the forthcoming council elections and as well in 2019.

He assured the new members of equal opportunity in their Respective zones urging them to continue to work collectively for the progress of the party.

Chief Ayodele Adigun later registered as a member of APC at ward 8, zone 4 in Aremo, Ibadan with registration number 40.
