Cleric Attributes Nigeria Woes To Bribery

An Islamic Scholar, Ma’llam Qamardin Bello on Wednesday, attributed the disharmony and consecutive downfall of Nigeria to the prevalence of bribery in the society.
This pronouncement was made during a weekly Islamic Program at Alhaji Salawudeen Oladejo Mosque in Osogbo, Osun State.
At the gathering, Bello noted the adversity bribery has done to the status of Nigeria, saying it has brought pains and retardation to the country.
In his words, “Nigeria is expected to have elevated more than this but the helms men of the country have largely given room for the celebration of bribery more than anything and this practice do incur the wrath of Allaah (S W T).”
Bello also noted that the country would not have plunged into some developments failures but for the unjust way the government of the day has chosen to select people for employment.
“It is very pitiful in this country that our government are not selecting applicants to offices through credentials excellence but enveloped funds.” He added.
Ma’llam Bello said the continuous epidemic disease would not guarantee Nigeria and Nigerians the peace restoration being clamoured for.
He thereby urged citizens of the country to show transparency and sincerity in their dealing with others for the return of normalcy from Allaah.
The Scholar also prayed for the quick recovery of the President of the Country,President Muhammad Buhari and the entirety of the country as well.
