Ohanaeze Calls For Investigation Of Kanu’s Disappearance

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Ondo state,  has called on the Presidency to investigate the sudden disappearance of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu after the military staged the operation python dance in his compound, Afaraukwu Umuahia Abia state.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo however said that those that know whereabouts of him should assist the government in the investigation process.

According to the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the state while addressing a Press Conference in Akure, Prince Erondu Uche said its true that Ohanaeze does not support Kanu’s agitation but the fact remains that he is an Igbo man.

Prince Uche said with the current challenges facing Nigeria which includes insecurity, agitations, corruption, poverty, marginalization among others, therefore patriotism is expected of every citizens in order to move the country forward.

He maintained that all hands must be on deck starting from the leaders to the led, stressing that “our leaders should be transparent and dedicated enough in order to earn our trust”.

“There should be no ‘sacred cows’ in the fight against corruption, there should be respect for the rule of law by all. Henceforth, the violation of our people’s human right under any guise should stop immediately.

“The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari should ensure that only the services of competent people are employed without nepotism”.

While also speaking on restructuring, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Secretary General however advised Presidency to take the issue more serious than being handled currently, stressing that the course of restructuring should be exclusively championed by President Buhari not APC.

He said, “the first restructuring we need is a restructuring of our minds”.
