Communal Efforts, Viable Means To Fast Track Peace, Development- Barr Olowolagba
Communal efforts has been identified as best way to fast track development in each community in the country.
A guest speaker at 2017 patriotic club of Obaagun week ,Barrister kayode Olowolagba said community could only thrive if sons and daughters of the community were committed to development of their areas.
Barrister Olowolagba maintained that government only could not meet the need of people of each community hence the need for social clubs to foster unity and harmonious relationship for development.
He hinted that the patriotic club of Obaagun must look inward and design programmes that would change the face of the ancient community and positioned it for socio economic growth.
The legal practitioner said Obaagun had been thrived on communal efforts saying all its developmental projects was attainable through joint efforts of sons and daughters of the community.
In a remark, the chairman, board of trustee of patriotic club of Obaagun ,Architect Azeez olaniyi submitted that the club had remained source of growth and development for obaagun as well as repositioning the community for industrial revolution.
Architect Olaniyi maintained that the patriotic club of Obaagun would continue to champion the course of the community until its attained its desired goals.
Speaking, the olobaagun of Obaagun, oba Jimoh Adebisi Okunade commended the club for its dedication for the growth of the community, saying the club remained the source of pride and joy of the community.
Oba Okunade called on sons and daughters of the community to always support the developmental stride of the club for overall growth and development.
The event which commenced on visitation to schools in obaagun on Tuesday and medical checkup and special jumat service on Friday was attended by sons and daughters of the community who have made their marks in their chosen profession.
