Political Associates, Supporters Attend Adeleke’s Fidau Prayer
-Clerics Urge Politicians to Imbibe Adeleke’s Good Deeds

Eminent Nigerians on Monday thronged Ede, Osun State to pay their last respect to the departed Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke who died last Sunday and buried last Monday.
Special prayers ware offered for the soul of the first civilian governor of Osun state at his country home in Ede today.
Muslim clerics who delivered lecture at the Fidau prayer called on politicians to imbibe the good deeds of late Senator.
Family members, political associates, supporters of the late Senator and indigenes of Ede attended the Fidau prayer.
Speaking at the event, one of the guest lecturer, the Chief Imam of Offa in Kwara state, Sheik Muheedeen Saliman admonished Nigerian politicians to fear God and toe the path of peace, honesty and love.
Saliman urged the politicians to fulfill their campaign promises and other commitment to their fellow human beings, especially those who voted them into power.
The Chief Imam of Offa who described Adeleke as a great political icon that has contributed immensely to the development of Ede community and supporting the less privilege, called on the political office holders to pond on the senator’s death and amend their ways and live up to the expectations of the masses.
According to Saliman “If the fidau prayers was not held for the deceased, the wicked would not reflect on his or her past ways”, saying there is need for everyone to reflect on their past ways and turn a new leave as death is inevitable .
Every politician must imbibe the good gesture and character of the late Senator Adeleke, he said.
Earlier, the Secretary of league of Alfas’ and Imans in the South-West, Edo and Delta States, Sheik Nurudeen Gbolahan, prayed for the soul of the late senator and ask Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest.
Gbolahan called on everyone present to remember that death is inevitable, and it is a pointer to the fact that everybody will account for his deeds on the Day of Judgment.
Speaking on behalf of the state government, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti who appreciated the dignitaries at the event, described the late Senator as an icon in the state and would forever be remembered for his landmarks.
Adeoti said the painful exit of the late Senator was a rude shock to the State as well as the entire country.
CityMirrorNews noted that there was heavy presence of security personnel to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
Adeleke Was the Senator representing Osun West senatorial district at the Senate under the platform of All Progressive Congress APC.
Present at the Fidau include Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representative, Hon Lasun Yusuff, former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former speaker, House of Representatives, Mrs Olubumi Eteh, former governor of Oyo state, Alao Akala, among others.
