Breaking: TUNS, Supporters Harass Osun Attorney General at Osogbo Eid
The Eid-El Kabir prayer was nearly disrupted at the Osogbo eid, Oke-Baale, today as supporters of the Asiwaju of Osogbo and a business mogul, Chief Tunde Badmus allegedly harassed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Osun State, Dr Basiru Ajibola.
Badmus’s son, Lekan allegedly slapped one of Ajibola’s aides, Engr Tafoeek Badmus during the harassment.
CityMirrorNews learnt that the harassment occurred when TUNS’s supporters demanded that Ajibola and some other people at the front row at the eid to stand up for their father (Chief Badmus).
The medium gathered that Ajibola’s aide who was with him questioned why the Attorney General had to stand for Chief Badmus when there was enough space at the same front row that could contain all of them.
It was learnt that Chief Badmus allegedly tongue-lashed Ajibola, telling him he was rude and questioning the status of his father in Osogbo.
According to eye witnesses, Lekan Badmus went berserk and slapped Ajibola’s aide Taofeek, a situation that generated tension at the prayer ground.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the intervention of some Muslim leaders and alfas at the prayer ground saved the situation from degenerating into a full blown battle between supporters of chief Badmus and Ajibola.
Ajibola, it was learnt, arrived the Osogbo prayer ground at around 9am while TUNS got to the eid some minutes to 10am.
All efforts to get the reactions of Chief Badmus and that of his supporters proved abortive as CityMirrorNews was unable to get their phone numbers.
