Fuel Deregulation: NLC Chases Out Workers from Osun State Secretariat

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) officials on Wednesday May 18, 2016 chased out workers from the Osun State Secretariat, Abere to enforce the strike declared by the Ayuba Wabba led faction of the NLC.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the NLC officials stormed the state secretariat, chasing workers in their various offices and ministry to effect the strike.
The workers had refused to obey directive of the factional.
Speaking with CityMirrorNews, the Auditor of the NLC in Osun, Mr Arapa Sopo, said the directive of the NLC subsists and enforceable, saying that no worker would be allowed into the secretariat as long as the strike lasted.
Security officials, including the Department of State Security, Police and Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were station at the entrance gate of the secretariat to prevent breakdown of law and order.
All the federal government establishments and banks in the state were all open for operation. But some of the banks closed by 12pm.
The mass protest rally organized by the NLC at the Olaiya junction in Osogbo grounded the state capital as motorists were barred from plying the major roads in the area.
