Adamu claimed to be working with the EFCC in order to extort money and other benefits from the board, said Aroyehun in the statement on Sunday.

According to Aroyehun, the secretary of the pilgrims board wrote a petition to the commission alleging that the convict presented a list of false officials of the Gombe zonal office of the EFCC and that he demanded unspecified amounts of money to induce the EFCC officials.
