Man rapes 5-year-old girl to death in Bayelsa

The police in Bayelsa State have arrested one Timidou Jephther ‘m’ 20 years, for sexually assaulting to death a 5 year girl, identified as Queen Kaiser.

The incident occurred at Akedei community, a riverine suburb of Sagbama in Sagbama Local government area of the state last weekend.

The suspect was reportedly apprehended and beaten to stupor by angry community ‎folks after the discovery of the remains of the kid behind his house. ‎

Spokesman of the command, Asinim Butswat, a DSP, who confirmed the incident said the suspect was arrested Tuesday aiding that the remains of the victim had been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre for autopsy.

His words, ‎”the Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested one Timidou Jephther ‘m’ 20 years, of Akedei Community, a riverine suburb in Sagbama Local Government Area, who sexually assaulted one Queen Kaiser ‘f’ 5 years to death.

“The suspect was arrested on the 9th August, 2016. The corpse has been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, for autopsy.

“The suspect is detained at the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department SCIID, Yenagoa. Investigation is ongoing.‎”
