Reverend Nicholas Okoh, Primate Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Visits Osun

The Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Reverend Dr. Nicholas Okoh will commence a two-day pastoral visit to Osun State today.

Media Adviser to Osun North-East Anglican Diocese, Otan-Ayegbaju, Mr Adewale Olayemi, in a press statement said the Primate will be welcomed into the State by his host, Rt. Reverend. Dr.Humphrey Bamisebi Olumakaiye, Archbishops and Bishops across the country.

As part of his pastoral engagements, Primate Okoh will dedicate to God, a commemorative Prayer Tower at Oluranti Ademowo Diocesan Prayer Centre located at Otan-Ayegbaju, the seat of the Diocese.

Also, Governor Rauf Aregbesola is expected to commission a block of ten classrooms built in honour of Chief Bisi Akande, former governor of the state, at Evangel College, Otan-Ayegbaju, its secondary school arm, after which it will be dedicated by the Primate.

The Primate will also dedicate for use, a block of six classrooms built by the Diocesan Women Organization at God of Glory Primary School, Otan-Ayegbaju, as part of the intervention of the Diocese to promote functional and qualitative education.

Also Olori Ololade Oyinlola Hall at Anglican Village, Otan-Ayegbaju donated by Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former governor of the state, in honour of his mother will also be dedicated by the Primate.

In order to underscore the spiritual essence of the visit, Primate Okoh will seek the face of God and pour heavenly blessings on the good people of the state.

The Diocesan Bishop, Dr. Olumakaiye enjoined all members of the Anglican Communion within and outside the state and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) members in the state to come out en-masse to welcome the Primate and be partakers in the unprecedented spiritual blessings of his visit.
