The three members had reportedly formed a factional body with a threat to join another party, saying the party has denied them a lot of opportunities.

It was gathered that the three erring members have been threatening to mobilize against the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Lasun Yusuff because of his refusal to prevail on party chieftains on their behalf.

Recently, the three erring members were alleged to have said on an online report that they led over 1,000 members to form a faction that will work against the Deputy Speaker.

They stated in the online report that they have joined the former Chairman of the APC in the Local Government, Hon. Abayomi Oyedeji, member of the state House of Assembly representing Irepodun/Orolu Constituency, Hon. Kamil Oyedele and the party’s Legal Adviser, Mr. Goke Ogunsola.

Though, the aggrieved member did not state whether they have joined another party, but another group in Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun, The Progressive,  described the move by the erring member of the party as “unfortunate.”

Two party chieftains of APC who spoke to this medium, Tajudeen Abimbola and Saka Ilufoye, described the online report that over 1,000 member defected from APC as “blatant lie”, saying the three aggrieved members were only cautioned by the party.

They explained that only the name of the three members were mentioned in the alleged report, wondering how national dailies would not report if 1,000 people defect from APC.

“The APC in Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun have denounced Hon. Afeez Adebiyi, Adebowale Yusuff  and Azif Azeez because of their alleged involvement in criminal activities part of which is still pending before the state High court.

“Based on their criminal tendencies, the party becomes unfavourable, unpleasant and unsatisfied with their conduct likely to disintegrate the party.

“We hereby urge the public to note that APC in Ilobu has also denounced them because of their mischivious and calculated attempt to create an unpleasant atmosphere in our party.
