PDP Chieftain Rallies Ondo Indigenes in Osun to Support Jegede
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Mr Funmiso Babarinde has been going round the state to rally round Ondo State indigenes to support the governorship candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo, Barr. Eyitayo Jegede.
Babarinde has met with many Ondo indigenes of various groups in Osun, among which are Osun Residing Ondo State Indigenes (OROSI), Ondo Collectives in Osun (OCO) and Ekimogun Group, among others.
Speaking with members of the OCO in Osogbo on Saturday, Babarinde urged the Ondo indigenes to go home and support their kinsman, Jegede for the election, saying that there commitment is needed for the realization of Jegede’s governorship ambition.
The former Assistant Organising Secretary of the PDP in Osun state said he could attest to the intellectual ability and practicable economic blueprint of PDP flag-bearer, adding that Jegede is a suitable candidate for the development of Ondo State.
According to Babarinde, Jegede had being rallying point and a strong pillar of support for PDP members and Ondo indigenes generally, stating that the people of the state would not only enjoy his government but also be proud of having a governor that is genuinely interested in the transformation of the state.
He maintained that Jegede’s personal relationship with him compelled him to drum support for his candidature, noting the PDP candidate has always been nice and kind to everybody around him.
Babarinde submitted that it is not out of place to say that of the governorship candidates in Ondo state, Jegede remains the most competent; reliable, focused and humane person to be the next governor of the state.
He assured the people of the state of transparency, accountability, uprightness and all inclusive government with Jegede as the governor of Ondo State.
The PDP chieftain equally promised to rally Osun people residents in Ondo and who are eligible to vote for the success of Jegede in the coming poll.
