An Ibadan based Islamic group, Shafaudeen In-Islam  with its International Head Quarters at Wakajaye in the Oyo state capital, has pleaded with the Federal Government to address the problem of poverty brought about by mass unemployment and misgovernance in the country.

It also commended the Federal Government on its war against corruption but  condemned the conflicting judgments in the nations judiciary pointing out that  such contradictory  judgments could erode the trust of the people on that arm of government.

The position of Shafaudeen In Islam was contained in a communique issued  after its third quarterly meeting in Ibadan which was attended by title holders both at home and abroad and presided over by Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP,the Spiritual Head of the Sect while Secretary,Engr.B.Suleiman Aderinto co-signed the communique which was made available to CityMirrorNews.

“The resolute effort of the present administration in the fight against corruption is highly appreciated., However the Anti-Graft exercise should not be seen as being selective. The  government should  consider the establishment of a special court to try corruption cases and bring about timely dispensation of justice.

“That the prevailing high rate of poverty is worrisome, the government was enjoined to create an enabling environment for business to thrive by prompt payment of salaries and wages.
Diversify the economy in favour of solid minerals to attract credible investors; agriculture for sustainable food security: and youth empowerment to reduce youth restiveness and crime rates.

On the conflicting judgement emanating from the judiciary,it advised that ” The National Judicial Council should look critically into the situation so that the trust of the masses on the judiciary as the final arbiter would not be lost.

“Council observed that for the change agenda of the government to succeed, the home as a pivotal role to play being the nucleus of the society. Parents/Guardians are therefore enjoined to be role models for their children/wards.

” Houses of God should also endeavour to prioritise the making of good homes. In addition, the Council observed that moving closer to God is the only antidote to the hydra-headed challenges facing the nation.

The Council  felicitated with the Grand Amirah Shafaudeen In Islam, Alhaja S.F Olagoke JP on her 59th Birthday Ceremony which held at Shafaudeen International Headquarters, Wakajaye, Ibadan.

“We Pray Allah to continue to give our Grand Amirah long live, sound health and prosperity.”
