Breaking News: Akeredolu Defeats Tinubu, Becomes Ondo APC Gov Candidate
Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has been elected the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Ondo State for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Akeredolu, who was the candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria ( ACN) in the 2012 gubernatorial election in the state polled 669 votes.
He defeated Mr Abraham Adesegun Adesanya who scored 635 votes. Adesanya was believed to be Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s favoured candidate.
Olusola Oke polled 576 votes.
Senator Ajayi Borofice got 471, while Senator Alasoadura Omotayo polled 206 votes.
a Total of 2774 delegates participated in the election.
Adefemi Folusho Mayowa scored 13 votes.
Adegbonmile Adeniyi, SAN had 8 votes.
Adesida Abiodun got 2 votes.
Adetula Olubukola scored 8 votes.
Alhaji Jamiu Afolabi got 44 votes.
Niran Oladuni had 3 votes.
