Ooni Crowns Afro Pop Artist-2face Idibia, Gbenga Adeyinka, Other As Ambassadors Of Violence Free World

His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has crowned the afro pop singer, Innocent Ugah Idibia popularly called 2Face Idibia as the ambassador of his new initiative- “Violence Free World”.
Also unveiled as co-ambassadors of the initiative were comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st and entertainment entrepreneur, Cally Ikpe.
The Ooni made the announcement in his palace when he unveiled the singer to his subjects and the entire public.
Speaking, the revered traditional ruler urged the new ambassadors to take his trust in them seriously just as he expressed confidence in them in making positive impacts in preaching a violence free world.
Oba Ogunwusi who described the newly crowned ambassadors as prominent achievers, implored them to translate their popularity in advocating and enhancing peace, love and unity in the world.
The foremost traditional ruler said, “I believe strongly that you have achieved so much that you can make positive impacts in preaching a violence free world.
“I want to stress that you should understand that this role you are given should not be taken with a pinch of salt.
“You have all shown exemplary acts in the Nigerian entertainment world and over the years, you all have individually and collectively given your voice to ending violence in our world.
“I will urge you to strive harder to ensure you preach peace and unity everywhere you go and be ambassadors of the initiative which I believe we youths have to combat the act of terror and violence in the world.
In their separate responses, the newly unveiled ambassadors expressed profound gratitude to the monarch for being identified to champion peace, unity and harmony in the world.
According to Idibia, “I am glad and honoured to have been noticed by the monarch.
“For me, His Majesty, the Ooni has just exemplified the true essence of the type of monarch we need at this point in Nigeria. His love for preaching and making peace has been the mantra of his reign and I’m glad to be part of that mantra.
He promised to do all his best to ensure violence free society as he preaches peace always.
On his part, the popular comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, said he was very happy to be honoured by the world famous and well respected king of peace and unity even though he has always been a peaceful being.
However, Ambassador Cally Ikpe, who is widely known for his TV show, Da New Live Beats and the Nigeria Music Video Awards, said, ” I am very glad with the honour bestowed on me and I urge all other Kings in Africa to emulate Ooni Ogunwusi who has come to redefine the monarchy system”.
Earlier, the Ooni’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare commended the new ambassadors of peace for promoting peace, love and unity through their respective careers.
He assured the newly crowned ambassadors of the Ooni’s continued support in their efforts to sustain peace throughout the universe.
Comrade Olafare described the African foremost monarch as king of the youths whose developmental agenda focuses on the total socio-economic emancipation of the youths across the continent of Africa.
He therefore thanked the hundreds of youth present at the occasion for their continued beliefs in the youth oriented vision of the monarch.
