Gunmen Kidnap Abuja Landlords, Demand N20M Ransom
Unknown gunmen on Sunday kidnapped two landlords in the Asokoro extension of the Federal Capital Territory.
The kidnappers are demanding N20 million in ransom to release the victims.
According to the report, armed men pointed a gun at a landlord in the neighbourhood, whom they used to get access to a victim.
A resident of the area who only identified himself as James said the other victim was on his way into his house when he was abducted by the armed men.
He said, “It happened around 11 pm on Sunday. Because of the heat, one of the landlords slept outside. They saw him and pointed a gun to his head. They asked him to take them to his house, and he showed them but they were not satisfied with the kind of house he lives in.”
As of the time of this report, the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comment.
Mohammed Seidu, the Asokoro Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, verified the incident to newsmen, adding that efforts were being made with the police to rescue the victims.
