Why I Slapped My Father – Femi Adebayo
Actor and producer Femi Adebayo has stirred controversy after disclosing that he slapped his father, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), on the set of the 2008 film ‘Taiwo Taiwo’.
In a video interview, Adebayo talked about the incident, which happened during the filming of a scene where he portrayed a notorious armed robber.
Adebayo explained that he was directed to break into a man’s residence to rob his father, but when he arrived, his father refused to hand over the money.
In the heat of the moment, Adebayo subconsciously raised his hand and slapped his father.
He admitted that the action was not part of the script and expressed regret afterward.
Adebayo also defended his actions, stating that he was trying to enhance his portrayal of the character.
However, he also revealed that he apologised to his father after the incident, but interestingly, his father praised him, saying that if he hadn’t hit him, he would have gotten in trouble.
