How Children Brought Tiwa Savage, Sophia Momodu Closer

Sophia Momodu, the mother of singer, Davido’s first child, Imade; and popular singer, Tiwa Savage, have recently been described as ‘besties’, following their social media posts of each other and their travels together. This has led many to wonder how the two became so close.

However, Saturday Beats gathered that the bond between both women deepened as a result of the relationship between Imade and Savage’s son, Jamil, who at one point attended the same school.

At different times, they have been seen together with their kids, either travelling or attending get-togethers.

Some of their bonding activities date back to 2018 when Tiwa graced the launch of Sophia’s clothing line. Appreciating her presence on Instagram, Sophia had written, “Thank you so much for supporting me. I love you! #WomenSupportingWomen.”

Also in 2019, Sophia posted a picture of herself with Imade and Jamil at a kiddies event called ‘Nick Fest Mania’.

In 2022, Sophia posted a video of herself and Tiwa drawing pictures of their kids as they marked Tiwa’s birthday.

In a similar vein, Tiwa and Sophia stirred reactions online following a video post, which showed both mothers and their children on a private jet en-route to Ghana.

According to The Punch, They were reported to have spent the New Year together, attending a Ghanaian music and cultural festival, ‘Afrochella’.
