Adeleke Mourns Death Of Veteran Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Oko
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has described the death of a veteran nollywood actress, Sidikat Odukanwi, popularly known as Iyabo Oko, as devastating and painful.
The Governor in a condolence message signed by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said Iyabo Oko made a great mark in the movie industry, adding that her demise is a loss of one of the state’s talents in the creative industry.
He commiserated with her family and the movie industry as a whole, urging them to take consolation in the fact that she lived a life full of many accomplishments.
“Sidikat Odukanwi (aka Iyabo Oko) was a delight to watch in movies, and through her works, many were touched in various ways. With her gone, the memory of the sensation she radiates from the screen and more, the laughter she inspired in many homes are worthy consolations,” the condolence message reads in part.
“I mourn her loss knowing well the great talent that we have lost. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her immediate family, the movie industry, her esteemed fans and everyone touched by her painful exit.
“It is my sincere prayer that they get the strength to bear the hard moment her passage represents. May God grant her soul eternal rest.”
