I Have Never Given My Mother Money Before, There Is No Blessing In It – Daddy Freeze
Famous Nigerian-Romanian broadcaster and socialite, Ifedayo Olarinde, a.k.a Daddy Freeze, has stated that there is no blessing in giving rich parents money.
Daddy Freeze in a series of posts shared online disclosed that he has never given his mother money before because there is no blessing in it.
He made this known via his official Instagram page while drumming his support for colleague, Craze Clown over his controversial post on Twitter.
Craze Clown via his official Twitter handle said that a mother is a failure if her son priortises her over his wife.
He tweeted, “As a Mother, if your son prioritise you over his wife then you’ve failed as a Mother. 🙃.”
Responding, Daddy Freeze unlike some other netizens supported Craze Clown’s tweet and wrote, ” He is making sense. My mama no go even gree me prioritize her over my wife. Mothers should know their place in their son’s lives and it’s in the back seat! His nuclear family comes FIRST!”
Speaking further, Nigerian politician, Akin Alabi says a mother that has a life will not even you to prioritize her over your wife.
Reacting Daddy Freeze said that her mother is a professor of Law who is rich and busy with her career noting she has never given her money before.
He wrote, “shey na my mama wey be Professor of Law, Vice Chancellor of ABUAD wan get time put mouth for my matter? Sometimes one week sef, my mama never pick my call.. My mother is too busy with her career and doing well financially. I have never, as a matter of fact, given my mother money before. The woman hold her side pieces…”
Reacting, an Instagram user identified as beautifulbubes advises Daddy Freeze to give her mother money even if she is richer than him nothing that there is always smile and blessings that comes with it.
She wrote, Daddy freeze please give to your mother even if she’s richer than you. I love to give my mother, there’s this smile she gives me that always gladdens my heart. There’s Joy that comes with giving to our parents.
In conclusion, Daddy Freeze wrote, “There is no blessing in giving your rich parents money. The blessing is when you give to the poor. If your parents are struggling then you are blessed when you give them money or assist them. ‘Honor your father & mother’ should not be monetized!”
See how netizens react below;
bodyglamz: I think we should give in appreciation. I still give my parents gifts in appreciation. Even if parents are comfortable the gifts put a smile on their faces . My oyibo friend who got two houses from her parents still buys them gifts on special occasions. Birthdays , Christmas , etc I think it’s just a kind gesture.
ola_shile__: 9ja my country, we still have a long way to go . cos, they have left us behind… The reason 90% of white parents don’t ask their grown children for a dime it’s because most of them set up IRA or 401K in their 20s.
stoneporsh: Honor your father and Mother. It’s not just In monetary aspect. There is more to this verse than just attach it to money. Having a good relationship with your parents is quite important than giving them money 💰, as a mother, I will prefer good relationship with my kids than giving me money 💰. Rich or poor, I really value that relationship over money. Another important part is respect to your parents. I think that verse means a lot not just money 💰.
brightomokhegbe: 4 dis u are right? A friend of mine told me never to help the people i know, coz they will use it against me.
kimball_lilola: The fact that some parents are struggling doesn’t make them failed in their career. Honoring parents doesn’t have to be giving money. Giving a rich parent a gift sourced with the same money doesn’t mean the giver won’t be blessed. It’s all in the Act of giving as deemed fit and necessary.
officialhillo360: That’s why I always tell people ..as you are training your kids .always have some saving for Future things…am not saying u should not help your parent when they need but some parent see kids are future retirement plan…though all finger are not equal but if your parent are financially okay…they don’t need anything from me..we can only exchange gift.
precious_okoruwa: Because they’re rich isn’t a justification not to give them money or buy them gifts sometimes. They also need to be shown love sometimes. Trust me they would be so excited and appreciate it so much 😁😁.
iamdlucian: Rich parents give their rich children stuff including money everytime I see it happening especially the mothers they will ask you “my daughter ate you okay? Do you need anything? Still a mother to child thing. But poverty don cast everything😂.
bunmiboye: Hahahahhahahahahahah. Poor parents want everything monetized even the hobour due to them oooo.
