Group Names Federal Poly Oko As Nigeria’s Top Performing Polytechnic

Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State, has been recognised by Cisco Networking Academy as the Top Performing Polytechnic in Nigeria, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to Technical and Vocational Education.

The award was presented during the 162nd Regular Meeting of the Council of Heads of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology (COHEADS) held at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, recently.

According to the organisers, the institution earned the prestigious recognition for its outstanding excellence in Technical and Vocational Education, exceptional academic performance, innovation, strong industry collaboration, quality assurance, digital transformation, and unwavering commitment to producing highly skilled graduates equipped for the demands of the modern workforce.

The award, the organisers said, further reflects the growing national recognition of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, as a leading institution committed to academic excellence, innovation, and practical skills development.

Receiving the award on behalf of the institution, the Rector, Dr Chioma Irene Awuzie, expressed gratitude to Cisco Networking Academy for the honour. She described the recognition as a testament to the collective efforts of the management, staff, and students of the polytechnic.

Dr Awuzie assured that the institution would not relent in its pursuit of excellence, promising to build on the achievement by sustaining quality education, embracing innovation, and strengthening partnerships that will further enhance teaching, learning, and research.
