UNIMED Inducts Pioneer Environmental Health Graduates

The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) has inducted its first set of Environmental Health Graduates at the Odosida Campus on Friday.
Speaking at the Induction, Henry O. Sawyerr, an Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Health Science, Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State, highlighted the crucial role Environmental Health Professionals play as “frontline health security of the nation”.
“..the future is bright for environmental health professionals as they are needed in all spheres of life.” he said.
Also speaking, the Registrar of the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria, Dr. Yakubu Mohammed Baba, represented by Professor Emmanuel Ofoezie from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, commended UNIMED for producing the first set of Environmental Health Professionals.
He then encouraged the graduates to be ethical and professional in their practice.
UNIMED’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, also congratulated the graduands on their accomplishment.
“We are proud of your accomplishments. Your dedication throughout your academic sojourn is commendable. We are convinced you will fly the flag of the institution high in the society”. he commended.
