Student Slumps, Dies During Lecture In Kwara
A 100 Level student of the Kwara State College of Education identified as Aminat Tajudeen has died while receiving a lecture in class.
The incident occurred around 1:30pm on Wednesday.
She was said to have collected her matriculation gown for the ceremony scheduled for Thursday and returned to class when the incident happened.
A senior staff of the school, who did not want his name is print, said the late Aminat was rushed to the school clinic after she suddenly slumped during a lecture.
The college PRO, Mrs Abibat Zubair, who confirmed the incident to PUNCH on Thursday said the deceased was a student of Music/Yoruba, adding that she was mourned by the college and students during the matriculation ceremony.
“The Provost visited the parents yesterday to sympathise with them and also mourned her today during the matriculation ceremony together with the students,” the PRO said.
