JAMB Reacts As 69-Year-Old Man Writes 2023 UTME, To Study Medicine
A 69-year-old man named Babatunde Fabiyi was part of the candidates who wrote the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, with the aim of studying medicine at the University of Lagos, information obtained from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has revealed.
It was gathered that Fabiyi, who picked UNILAG as his first choice, picked the Lagos State University popularly known as LASU as his second choice with the same aim of studying medicine.
The examination body noted that the sexagenarian picked the Yaba College of Technology as his third choice to study science laboratory technology.
JAMB, in its comments, noted that “The sexagenarian, who hailed from Egbado-North, Ogun State, sat the UTME at Centre 457, Nubi Private School, Okota, Lagos State. The centre’s examination officials, in their various submissions, indicated that Mr Fabiyi was a model candidate as he not only came to the centre early enough but also followed all the instructions given to him diligently.”
Over 1.5 million candidates sat the 2023 UTME and results from the exam and mop-up UTME have so far been released by the board.
