Osun: Ede Muslim Grammar School Old Students Association Elects New Excos
The Old Students Association of Ede Muslim Grammar School Ede has elected new set of executive to pilot the affairs of the association with a pledge to serve with all their strength
The association which held its election on Saturday 1st of July at the school premises located along Abere Road voted Alhaji Rasak Olatunde Bello as its new president while Mrs. Kareem Afusat Bunmi and Mr. Lawal Isiaka Adenle were elected National Vice Presidents 1 and 2 respectively.
Mr Abidoye Ismail was elected as the National Secretary while Mr. Kolapo Komorudeen was elected as Welfare Officer and Olaniran Nureniemerged as financial Secretary.
Others are Alahji Adelakin Nureni Treasurer and Mr. Tijani Abdulraheem Adekilekun was the new Public Relations Officer of the Association.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected president of Ede Muslim Grammar School Old Students Association, Alahji Rasak Olatunde Bello expressed appreciation to members of the association for their resilience in taking the school to a greater height.
Reminding members of the association that Exe Muslim Grammar School will be 50 years by 2024, The president stressed the need to give the school a face-lift promising that the new leadership will leave no stone unturned to get in touch with all members both at home and in the diaspora for the growth of their alma mater.
While commending the past leaders of the old Students Association including the present Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke and the immediate past executive led by Engineer Muhammed Tijani Adekilekun, Alhaji Bello promised that his leadership will build on the legacies and solid foundation built by his predecessors.
He solicited the support of his fellow old students to enable him take the school to an enviable height.
“The school is blessed to have an Ambassador, Senators, Members if House of Representatives, State Assembly members, Permanent Secretaries, Registrars of higher institutions, soany Professors, Deputy Vice Chancellors, many PhD holders, Captains of industries, Heads of Local Government Administration, Directors in the Local, State and Federal Governments among others.
He continued that ” above all, the current Governor of Osun State, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke who was one time President of Old Students was part of those who have written their names in gold in the history of the school.
According to him, “the executive will in conjunction with the board harness the opportunity of having so many stakeholders for the progress of the school”.
