Give Your Children Quality Education, Parliamentarian Charges Parents

Parents and guidance have been urged to give their children quality education that would assure better future and development of the society.
A Local Government parliamentarian in Osun state, Hon Bisola Halimat Oyeyemi disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Osogbo on Sunday.
While stressing on the importance of education, she noted that there is need for parents to let their kids know the advantages of education and encourage them to work towards their goals.
The Councillor who is representing ward 7 in Olorunda Local Government Area admonished parents to know the movement of their children and those they associate with.
Oyeyemi further suggested that vocational training can help the study of the young ones and boost economic of the society if it can be added to academic curriculum.
According to her, “knowledge is power which everyone needs to possess as education is very popular in western Nigeria and we must all give our children standard education.
“We should encourage our future of tomorrow, let’s give our children reasons and beautiful things that future holds if they are educated.
” As a parent let’s observe and guide them when its time to choose careers which will assist them to perform credibly when they start working in the future.
However, she called on Non Governmental Organizations, Social groups to be involved in empowering youths through vocational training in order to reduce social vices and thuggery in the society.
She added that Osun government under the watch of Governor Gboyega Oyetola will continue to work for the betterment of the residents in the state.
