Osun SUBEB Begins Distribution Of Gov Gboyega Oyetola Millennium Furniture To Schools

In its bid to ensure that Osun schools meets up with their contemporary in Nigeria and beyond, the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board under the leadership of Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole, the board’s Permanent Secretary has began massive distribution of newly procured set of furniture to Middle schools in the State tagged “Governor Gboyega Millennium Furniture.

The school to school distribution of the newly acquired set of Governor Gboyega Oyetola Millennium furniture which was monitored by this medium started on Tuesday 27th of March, 2018 with L.A. Adenle Government Middle School, Ayetoro, Osogbo.

Top management of the Board led by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole, the officials of L.A Adenle Government Middle School and other stakeholders were on hand to supervise the distribution of the newly acquired state of the art furniture.

Speaking at the venue of the distribution, the Osun SUBEB PS commended Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his resolve to continually ensure that Osun schools are well equipped with state of the art infrastructure that are world class.

Kolawole also stressed the government readiness to put high premium on teachers welfare and trainings to build their capacity to deliver excellently well in their various fields.

Speaking specifically on the Governor Gboyega Oyetola Millennium Furniture, Kolawole said the exercise marked the take off of the first batch of about 4000 pairs out of projected figure of 20,000.

He further explained thati these sets of furniture are being given to middle schools while government has also taken that of the elementary schools into consideration to complement the new conducive learning environment that abounds in the state.

In his words, the Osun top educationalist said ” under the first phase, the 4000 pairs of furniture seater will comfortably sits 8000 students and free their former furnitures to be used by same numbers making 16000. In sum the 20000 under this cycle will be provide about 50000 students with multiplier effect on another 50000. It’s solidly designed to last longer and immured to pilfering to the iron rods thieves”, he concluded.

The SUBEB PS however commended facility managers attached to the model schools in the state for their care and deep interests in maintenance culture just as he charged the officials of the school and other stakeholders including the pupils to make good use of the newly acquired millennium furniture.
