Ospoly Alumni Gets New Executives

The Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Alumni Association on Saturday elected new executive members that will pilot the affairs of the union for the next two years .

The election , which was held at the NUJ Press Centre, Iya-ganku, Ibadan, Oyo State was superintended by an electoral committee headed by a revered alumnus of the citadel, Mr Yomi Odebunmi.

The contest eventually produced Mr. Adegboye Adenrele Olalekan as the National President , Mr. Yemi Bernard Olurinde as the Vice-President, Administation, and Mr. Kayode Onikola as Vice-President, Academics.

Others are: Mr. Odeyemi Wole Anthony as National Secretary, Mrs. Oluwaseun Ejiwale, Assistant National Secretary ,
Mr. Adebowale Sunday, National Financial Secretary, while Comrade Ebenezer Oluwasegun Ige was elected as the National Publicity Secretary

Also, Mr. Terigbade Rafiu emerged as the National Treasurer of the association, alongside Mr. Akeula Kolawole Okunola as the National Social Secretary and Mr. Oduyemi Abayomi as National Auditor.

All the elected officers were sworn in immediately by the association’s legal adviser, after being returned elected by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee.

Speaking with Newsmen on the sideline of the event, the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Comrade Oluwasegun Ige said the emergence of the new executives remains a turning point in the annals of the union.

According to him, the new leadership consists of individuals with clear-cut vision to serve and transform the association to its eldorado.

“It is indeed a dawn of a new era for our association, without mincing words, this is an assemblage of clear headed individuals with utmost alacrity to contribute their quotas for the total transformation of this union.

“We have a mandate to mobilise our alumni globally for issues of paramount importance with regards to our Alma Mater and members alike.

“Our cardinal focus is to work in unison with school management in providing friendly academic environment for the teeming students on campus for them to become worthy ambassadors of the great institution, aside protecting the superior interests of our alumni in all ramifications”, Ige resorted .
