Be Part Of The Change You Want To See In Nigeria, Kolawole Charges OAU Students

The Permanent Secretary, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Adesina Fatai Kolawole has charged Nigerian youths to be of the change they want to see in Nigeria through active participation in politics.

The Osun SUBEB PS gave this hint while addressing hundreds of students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife at a seminar titled “the place and roles of educated youths in politics”, held at faculty of social sciences of O.A.U, yesterday 22nd December, 2018.

Alhaji Kolawole who was the lead discussant at the seminar enjoined the youths not to wait till they have all the degrees in this world or the best of experience before they participate in politics and governance at all levels.

The Osun top echelon educationalist advised Nigerian youths to have a clear picture of what they intends their tomorrow to be by drawing up their short-term, mid and long term goal in life, he emphasized that this will guide them right in their daily life.

The Osun SUBEB boss also used the opportunity to tell the gathering of the ongoing effort of the government of the state of Osun alongside other states of the southwestern Nigeria to integrate the philosophy of good virtues ” Omoluabi Ethos” in the academic curriculum.

This according to him would make students not just graduates or school leavers but rather educated being that will have critical thinking to make difference in the society.

The seminar which was convened by Dr. Titilayo of the department of demography and social statistics of the University had in attendance people from all walks of life including front line politicians, professors, senior academicians and hundreds of students of the university.
