Young Man Alleges Church, family After Him Over LGBT Stand
For his believe in the rights of Lesbians, Gays and others,a young man,Oke owo Emmanuel Oluwaseun has alleged that his family members in Nigeria as well as the Catholic community in his native place of abode as after his life after discovering he is a gay, who preaches the recognition of others without interference
In a letter written by an NGO that’s concerned about the rights of LGBT,it was stated that the family members have become intolerant of his activities as a gay, describing him as a ” bad influence to the younger ones and a reactionary element” who should be avoided by all
In the letter ,Okeowo Emmanuel claimed that he was firstly introduced to the gay world by his Reverend Father ,Owolabi, who was his mentor and teacher ,who abused him sexually and psychologically at the age of eight
He said as he embarked on the journey of life to higher school,he met so many of his mates who were into the society of gay and he joined them,as he attended only boys dominated secondary school
He said as a child ,he was unable to explain his predicament in the hands of Revd Father Owolabi to his parents then as religious leaders are highly respected in the society
In his conviction of the gay world,he at a church program informed the bewildered attendees that “most of the religious leaders in Nigeria are into the LGBT,which drew the ire of some Catholic leaders, who decided to hand him over to the security for his belief and sacrilege
From that period,he was hounded by security agents acting on the directive of the Catholic and was persecuted ,claiming that most of them are also into the LGBT
It was gathered that the law against LGBT daily is becoming strengthened and many already languishing in prison custody for their belief,he therefore requested for protection from other firm believers in the rights of LGBT as well as other freedom loving people all over the world, stressing that the rights of others should be respected by the government as the LGBT rights is also a right that should be respected as it’s God given
